Delta Technical College is a year-round school providing vocational training in mechanical trades and allied health career fields where job growth is expected.
Midwest Technical Institute, Delta Tech’s sister school, was founded in 1995 in Lincoln, Illinois. Since opening its doors as Delta Technical College in 2004, Delta Tech has achieved many milestones, including receiving national accreditation for its course offerings, and expanding our programs and courses beyond the original welding program.
Delta Tech has always taken great pride in touching the lives of students by giving them the hands-on workforce training they need to be successful.
Our mission is to offer workforce training that will provide graduates with the skills necessary to gain entry-level employment in their chosen field.
At Delta Tech, we understand the importance of completing training programs and courses in a timely manner. We offer a variety of accelerated programs in the allied health and mechanical trades fields, where you’ll have the opportunity to complete most programs and courses in less than one year.
Your life is busy and your time is valuable. We understand that. Most programs and courses at Delta Tech offer a variety of class times (including daytime and evenings), so you can learn when it is convenient for you.
Professionalism with a “Family” Feel
The staff at Delta Tech is full of bright and caring professionals, with a wealth of knowledge and experience in their fields. Our friendly and helpful Admissions and Financial Aid Teams are here to guide you through the entire process, from signing up for classes to helping you find the financing options that work best for you.
The 7-month Journeyman Welder Program prepares students for entry-level employment in the welding field. Delta Tech’s welding program provides students the skills and hands-on training needed to become a proficient pipe welder using SMAW and TIG processes. Welding classes teach students MIG & flux core welding and provide students skills in pipe welding and manufacturing.
Delta Tech’s welding training also teach field and shop safety, pipe fitting skills and basic blueprint readings. The Journeyman Welder Program offers a greater scope of welding processes and allows the student additional time to become polished in a certain specialty.
Students will receive Delta Tech welding certifications and, upon meeting graduation requirements of the program, the student will receive a diploma.
Delta Technical College (DTC) offers a variety of financing options to qualifying students. Financial aid may be available to those that qualify. Financial Aid Representatives are available at each of our campuses to assist you. Please contact your nearest DTC campus today to learn more.
