    DTC’s Welding Program trains you in the following welding processes:

    • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
    • Gas Tungsten Arc Gas Welding (GTAW/TIG)

  • Welding & Pipefitting

    In the dynamic world of welding, welders collaborate with pipefitters, but each profession demands a unique skill set. The Welding & Pipefitting Program at DTC’s School of Welding prepares you for the diverse array of job environments, duties, and roles in these fields. This program equips you with fundamental skills crucial to both welding and pipefitting work, opening doors to a wide range of opportunities. At DTC, the Welding & Pipefitting Program can be completed in less than a year, helping you launch a new career in a shorter timeframe compared to the traditional 2-year or 4-year college route.

    DTC’s Welding & Pipefitting Program trains you in the following welding processes:

    • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
    • Gas Tungsten Arc Gas Welding (GTAW/TIG)
    • Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG)
    • Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)

    You’ll also get an additional 10 weeks of pipefitting-focused training to teach you both basic and advanced pipefitting processes. In addition to learning various welding and pipefitting techniques, you’ll earn DTC welding certifications that help employers validate your skills and potentially increase your employability.
